Cold mornings shouldn't start with a wrestling match: the jumper over the head, then the harness squeezed over the top, then a dog who has already given up and lain down. The Alpine Pro is a padded winter coat with lead rings built into the back. Step in, zip up, clip on, go.
Why it earns its place by the door
- Built-in twin lead rings: two sturdy metal D-rings stitched into the back, so you can leave the separate harness at home on everyday walks.
- Soft fleece lining: a cosy inner layer that helps hold in body heat on frosty mornings and dark evening strolls.
- Water-repellent outer: helps drizzle and light rain bead off, so a passing shower doesn't end the walk early.
- Back zip with fur guard: nothing pulled over the head, and a fabric guard to help keep fur out of the zip.
- Bright chest panel: red, pink, blue or green colour that is easier to spot as the afternoons get shorter.
A note for strong pullers
The built-in rings are made for everyday walking. If your dog pulls hard or you need a front-clip option, pair a lightweight coat with a dedicated harness such as our K9 Sentinel.

Which size should I choose?
Measure the chest around the widest part, just behind the front legs, and compare it with the size table in the description. It should be snug enough to slide two fingers underneath, but not tight; as the lead clips onto the coat, a good fit matters more than usual. Between sizes, or a thick coat? Size up. Still unsure? Send us the numbers and a real person will recommend one, usually within 1 working day.
Can I clip the lead straight onto the coat?
Yes. Two sturdy metal D-rings are built into the back, so on everyday walks you can leave the separate harness at home. If your dog pulls hard, or you need a front-clip option, we'd suggest a dedicated harness such as our K9 Sentinel instead.
Will it keep my dog warm in wet weather?
The soft fleece lining helps hold in body heat on frosty mornings, and the water-repellent outer helps drizzle and light rain bead off. It's a winter coat rather than a raincoat, so for heavy, sideways British rain the StormBreaker is the better choice.
Is it easy to put on a wriggly or older dog?
Nothing goes over the head. Your dog steps in, you zip it up along the back and clip on the lead. A fabric guard helps keep fur out of the zip.
Will my dog be seen on dark walks?
The bright chest panel makes your dog easier to spot as the afternoons draw in. If you often walk after dark, we'd add a clip-on light such as our NightBeacon, so drivers and cyclists can pick your dog out from further away.
When will it arrive, and are there any extra fees?

Get in touch first and we'll help put it right. Send us a quick photo of your dog wearing the coat and a photo of the chest measurement, and we'll find the best way to sort it out together. You can also return an item within 30 days; as our returns centre is overseas, return postage is paid by you. Full returns policy.

How do I wash it?
Please check the care label first. A sponge-down or a cool, gentle wash usually does the job. Let it air-dry away from radiators so the padding keeps its shape.
